Sagrada Familia

I am in Barcelona Spain this week about to head to Rome. I was able to go inside Antonio Gaudis La Sagrada Familia and wanted to share a photo with you all. This is such an incredible work of architecture it took my breath away when I entered.

Although the architectural style is considered Modernisme, Gaudi used a combination of Gothic and Art Nouveau to create this unique cathedral. From the distance this it may resemble a "drip" sand castle the detailing is incredibly ornate. The project began in 1882 and is still under construction. It is not expected to be completed for 80 or more years.

I highly recommend visiting when you are in Barcelona. I will try to post more photos along my trip but have mostly been tying to relax and enjoy the amazing sights and foods.

Thanks for stopping by!
